Milko Bambiĉ was born in Trieste on 26th april 1905. It is the year when in Italy there is the event of the first flight of a dirigible. The artist grows up in the town that inspired the irish writer James Joyce, the place considered the melting pot of the culture of middle Europe.
During his life Bambiĉ will be able to speak ten languages in his strong desire of communication. In Vienna, Austria he became pupil of the famous portrait painter Novotty but after having learnt the figurative arts he went to the school of the brothers Rendic, and then he follows the inspiration of the artist Luigi Spazzapan, who introduces Bambiĉ to the new avant-garde.
Bambiĉ could be considered an enfant-prodige. Nowadays the international writer Paolo Maurensig and the slovenian poet Marko Kravos in occasion of the celebration of the centenary of the birth of Milko Bambiĉ called him "Homo Faber". continue >> |
